Privacy Policy

Thought Spark (“the app”) is operated by Edventure Design LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account identifier & email. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. We use these only to identify your account and tie usage to it.
• Usage records. For each AI action you run (transcription, enrich, clarify, research, act) we store a record: which action, when, token counts, and an estimated cost. We use this to enforce plan limits and understand aggregate usage. We do not store the content of your ideas on our servers.
• Subscription status. If you subscribe, we store your subscription’s expiry and identifiers (from Apple) to know whether your account is Pro.

What stays on your device

Your ideas, transcripts, research, and notes are stored locally on your device (and in your own iCloud/device backups if enabled). They are not uploaded to or retained by our servers.

How your content is processed (subprocessors)

To provide AI features, content you submit is sent — at the moment you use a feature — to:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — to title, clarify, research, and turn ideas into actions.
• ElevenLabs — to transcribe voice recordings to text.
• Render — hosts our backend that brokers these requests.
• Apple — sign-in and subscription processing.

These providers process the content only to return a result. Your content is not used to train AI models, and each provider is contractually bound to protect it to a standard equivalent to this policy. Before any content is sent to these AI services, the app discloses what is shared and with whom, and asks for your consent. See each provider’s privacy policy for their practices.

Microphone

With your permission, the app records audio so it can be transcribed. Recordings are sent to our backend and on to ElevenLabs for transcription; we do not retain the audio.

Website analytics

This website (thoughtsparkapp.com) uses analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. These tools run on the website only — they are not part of the iOS app, and they never have access to your ideas, transcripts, or account data.

• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement (pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, device type).
• HeyCatch — product analytics that records page views and clicks on this site.

We do not send your name, email address, or any account identifier to these analytics providers from this website. You can block them with any standard content blocker or your browser’s “Do Not Track” / anti-tracking settings without affecting the site.

Data retention & deletion

• Account and usage records are kept while your account exists.
• You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently removes your account, usage records, and subscription records from our servers, and wipes the ideas stored on your device. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and cancelled via your Apple ID settings.

Children

Thought Spark is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
